Reynolds on the road

Reynolds now proudly boasts a mighty fleet of 8 articulated vehicles plus a 7.5 tonne lorry all operating from a yard in Coventry Lane, Wollaton Vale, Nottingham.

This growth has been far beyond our expectations and demonstrates remarkable progress from starting with just 1 vehicle last March!  If our rate of growth continues at current levels we will certainly be applying to increase the number of vehicles in our fleet, sooner rather than later this year! Our operating centre has a transport office as well as canteen and warehousing facilities. We also have the Reynolds van available for any last minute or emergency deliveries and to offer customers a first class, flexible courier service.

Reynolds on the rise

Reynolds has more than held its own over recent years, maintaining steady progress during some difficult economic times.

This has been largely attributable to a strong determination to succeed, a great spirit and togetherness throughout the company and some shrewd decision making along the way.

This period has seen us increase our recruitment headcount, takeover a local agency and bring on board Steve and Jeff and more recently provide additional opportunities in our office with the arrival of permanent staff Sarah and Dave.

We are also delighted to report that 2013 saw Reynolds turnover increase significantly, thanks largely to a number of requests from our clients for the full range of Reynolds services - Training, Logistics and Recruitment.

This progress has continued into 2014 with strong sales during the first quarter of the year.
The general recruitment (industrial) side of the business has seen its highest numbers ever in the first quarter to date.  This indicates a very buoyant market for the local area and we are very optimistic that this promises to be another fantastic year.

Reynolds and the RHA

We have become members of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), a large body which champions best practice and represents the whole industry, lobbying Whitehall on key matters.

Our membership means that we have up to date knowledge concerning legislative changes and follow a code of practice to ensure compliance and effective risk management procedures as well as protocols for insurance claims and conditions of carriage.

Reynolds are no strangers to working with trade bodies and organisations that set the standards in their respective fields.  This is why we are delighted to be active members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (R.E.C) and an Investor in People (IiP).

Reynolds at your Service!

As Reynolds continues to grow, we would like to offer a warm welcome to Sarah Reynolds (no relation to Steve or Sue!) and Dave Hughes.

Sarah has recently joined the company on a full time basis to provide Pete Boseley (Transport & Logistics Manager) and Donna Bishop (Recruitment Operations Manager) with back office support.

Prior to this, Sarah was working for Reynolds as a temp on a client account after spending 25 years working for Polestar Printers in Bilborough.

A large part of her role will be overseeing compliance across the Reynolds business, both on the recruitment and logistics side to maintain the very high standards and service levels to clients.
This will ensure that as a company we are following all procedures thoroughly and making all of the necessary checks to the Drivers Licencing Database.

Dave Hughes has joined the company full time as our Training Manager, with a vision of developing Reynolds Training Programmes, covering specialist areas such as Dangerous goods and aviation training.
